Another Aidilfitri just gone.. I think as we grow older, the most important thing during Aidilfitri is just to be with our own family, no more duit raya. But somehow I feel like there is a distance between my cousins from Kota Bharu & Pilah and my family. These cousins are from my paternal side. We were closed when we were young but nowadays it seems to be fallen apart. I don't know how it happens. We're just sort of drifting apart. They always talking behing our backs among themselves & even online using Friendster. Very childish!! I think if you have any issues with my family, why not just be honest & tell us, right?
In early Ramadhan, our family suffered another loss of a loved one, my Atok, from my maternal side. He died suddenly without any illness. He himself did not have any DM or HPT or any cardiac diseases. His death really shocked all of our family members. But things are different on my maternal side. During my Atok's funeral, most of our close family members, my cousins, second cousin, third cousin & even my Anyang (my great grandmother) attended. My family really appreciates their support, same was during my Pok Ngah's funeral.
In the midst of mourning for the loss of Atok, our family, my maternal side again, welcomed a newborn, baby Rayyan Affan bin Hilmy, son of my closest & bestest cousin, Alin. He was born in the middle of Ramadhan. Though he looked nothing like Alin or any of our family members as he looks just like his father, he is still the most adorable & hudley dudley cuddliest baby ever...hehe... SO CUTE!!!
But then again, since I'm working now, I have to give money for duit raya to all my relatives. So that makes me currently an established bankruptcy huhu....Well, I really have to bear in my minds all those money were given away because of charity..huhu...I guess we all did have a good & blessed Aidilfitri after all. Alhamdulillah.... :)
